The Nike Dunk Lo SB “Asparagus” from the September 2009 delivery has been released early in Japan. The colorway is interesting and perfect for Fall. Especially interesting are the rough suede side-panels and speckled ankle parts. The black leather toe box and red accents also work well. The sneaker is now available from LTD.

The new Wood Wood Fall/Winter 2009 Collection is getting to stores this coming week, including their own flagship stores in Copenhagen and Berlin. We get an early detailed look at the collection.

We definitely like the direction that Wood Wood is developing in. It has become a true fusion brand, bringing street fashion and high end fashion together in a way that works. The Fall/Winter 2009 Collection certainly takes some workwear inspiration, more than previously. Our favorite pieces include the shirts, pants, as well as some of the knitwear. Vans sent over a first look at some forthcoming Authentics from the Spring 2010 Vault collection. Vans latest offering includes a rich leather interpretation of one of our favorite sneakers of all time. Those violet and brown hues look so buttery. Definitely one for the must-have list. LA based Hall Of Fame presents their newest series of fitteds. The “Size” New Era Cap explores an innovative, if not introspective, idea whereby each hat features it’s own size embroidered up front. Keeping in line with their classic, sports inspired appearance, Hall of Fame worked with a two-tone color concept. Six different caps were produced, ranging for size 7 1/8 to 7 3/4. Trainerspotter Autumn/Winter 2009 Collection

Trainerspotter hit us up with a series of photos produced by their good friend and British Photo Journalist Rob Felix. His work has been featured in WAD, I.D, Radar and Clarke magazine. adidas Originals Rod Laver Series Drop 1 | DQM, Undefeated, Limiteditions, VA

The signature shoe of several time world tennis champion, and still legendary George ‘Rod’ Laver, the adidas Rod Laver has been a mainstay for the brand, and now a central part of the Originals range since its 1970 launch. The key to its success? Utter simplicity. In line with court decorum and regulations of the era, the famous 3-Stripes were shorn for this shoe, and the purity of the Rod Laver set something of a standard for sneaker design – the move to pare down the corporate identity and let the silhouette do the talking is a landmark move too.

Beyond favourite colour combinations like the traditional white and green, the material mix of leather and mesh kept things breathable and lightweight without compromising looks. This bare bones approach gave the shoe an ageless quality. A follow-up, wider, chunkier in the sole and with added midsole and heel branding became another icon and a worldwide Summer standard, notably deified in NYC as the timeless hot weather choice.

Almost forty years after the original design’s introduction, it’s back in a tweaked form, retaining its iconic classicism for an ambitious adidas Originals Consortium project. Nine global Consortium partners, each famed for their innovative approach to retail, were given the Rod Laver to rework with their choice of colours, fabrics and more for release in extremely limited numbers at Consortium stores throughout August and September 2009.

Makes for an interesting alternative to the the traditional suede and leather offerings presented by most labels. G-Shock August 2009 Releases

Today we present you this month’s G-Shock limited edition releases. Earlier we already gave you a look at the Pegleg x Union x G-Shock DW-6900, which sold in the matter of hours on the release day. The emphasis this month stays on the big size DW-6900.
G-Shock presents a collaboration with The Brooklyn Circus. The watch comes in a black/white colorway with red accents and logo placement on the dial, and is nicely wrapped up in special packaging.
Furthermore G-Shock presents the DW-6900 Crazy Color series. The series consists of three strong colorways of the watch, each featuring matching display and backlight colors. Look out for these watches in stores now.

Nicekicks x Asics Gel Lyte III

Today we get a first look at the second release of the Trilogy Project. The Culture Shoq Gel Lyte 3 has just released last week, next up is the collaboration with Nicekicks on the popular Asics sneaker. Nicekicks chose to work with all premium leathers on the upper in varsity red. Perforated pig skin, ballistic mesh and the woven laces are nice details on the sneaker. Limited to 250 pairs, the sneaker will be released exclusively at Davidz in October. Via Complex.

XLarge x Disney Fall 2009 | Denim And T-Shirts

Here is now a first look another collaboration from the new collection. XLarge got together with Disney on some t-shirts and some denim. The t-shirt features a classic XLarge logo on the front and Mickey Mouse on the back. The denim from the collaboration comes raw and features Mickey Mouse hands on the back-pockets. Look out for a release in the coming months.
